About

Natasha Marie is a mixed media sculptor and painter based in Boise, Idaho. Her passion is creating dreamy, lavish pieces that intertwine the play of nature and fantasy. By working with hanging sculpture, she has been able to create pieces that come alive through their interplay of light and shadow, combined with intoxicating colors and shimmer. Each piece strives to evoke strong emotion, whether it be a sense of peace and warmth, to yearning and wonder.

A few years ago Natasha became severely injured and debilitated. She previously understood how a person's environment affects their mental wellbeing, though she never took it seriously until she was at home all day and her survival depended on her surroundings. With a newfound understanding of how deeply an environment affects a person, she began to crave art and colors that she deeply connected with, that nurtured her, that allowed her to cultivate gratitude for life and subconsciously calm her while also inspire her. In search of the perfect haven, she began dreaming up pieces she could create herself. As she longed to visit outdoor wonders and craved a sense of freedom, she poured every drop of energy she had into dreaming up what these emotions and places could be represented as in art. Dreaming of these pieces not only became an escape and survival mechanism, but she craved to be surrounded by them, to immerse herself in a world of them where her energy could shine, flow, and rest at ease. She now feels a sense of duty to offer her work to others who need it just as much as she did. To make someone else's life feel a bit more beautiful and fanciful, to aid in calming nervous systems, to inspire others to take a leap, bask themselves in self-love and adoration, to let their mind wonder and fanaticize of what could be and to build a dream life and indulge in the depth of their desire, to romanticize life and love the now and be present and grateful for the chaos. To overwhelm one's self in the beauty of everything and the gift of their depth. To provide hope. This is what she aspires her art to be for others.

Now on her way to recovery, she is beyond grateful to pour her heart and soul into this work and continue to let it nurture her spirit. Beforehand, she never intended to pursue art as a career, though despite the unfortunate circumstances that has led her to do so, she is overjoyed and is immensely grateful for this reality. Creating these works allow her to enter into a flow state and dance around as she works, allowing her body to heal and her mind to thrive. Each piece is created with all of that intentional energy and love.

As Natasha a child she displayed great patience and vision when it came to all things artistic. When she wasn’t crafting, dancing, or playing with her sister in princess dresses, her favorite activities as a child were climbing her family’s orange tree, swimming, and befriending bugs in the backyard. She was also obsessed with the creative vision of Barbie movies and Winx comic books, which allowed her inspired mind to thrive. It’s no wonder that now lush greenery, water, sun, wind and pink sunsets are her muse. Growing up she was always drawn to abnormal art and loved experimenting, such as; playing with resin on her bedroom floor, decorating sweets with fondant, and painting intricate nail designs during family movie nights. She started practicing metalsmithing as a young adult, and recognized her main passion while working for an art class in college, where her idea for sculpture work first began.

She is so excited to be able to give a voice to the way life supplies her with such vivacious spirit and dreams, and present it to her cherished collectors. Whether you’re an art lover, someone who feels a deep connection to her work, or someone who simply wants to elevate their space, her work is bound to inspire and captivate you.
